Hi Guest,

The Deep Tech sector continues its strong upward trajectory and the numbers speak for themselves. In just the first four months of this year, Indian deep technology startups raised $324 million across 35 deals, more than doubling last year’s $156 million across 21 deals during the same period, a remarkable 107% increase. At Java Capital, we remain steadfast in our mission to back Deep Tech ventures that leverage scientific innovation and breakthrough research to solve complex, large-scale challenges.

A key highlight this month was our Annual LP Day, a powerful reflection of the progress we’re making together. The event brought our community of investors and founders under one roof to celebrate wins, explore future opportunities, and deepen engagement. From high-impact presentations by our portfolio companies to vibrant one-on-one conversations between LPs and founders, the day was a testament to the strength and ambition of the Java ecosystem.

On the portfolio front, we’re thrilled to share two standout updates:

  • Agnikul made history by firing India’s first electric motor-driven semi-cryogenic engine, marking a major milestone for Indian aerospace innovation.
  • SatLeo Labs earned national visibility with a spotlight feature on CNBC-TV18, underscoring its growing relevance in the satellite intelligence space.
There’s plenty more brewing! Stay tuned as we continue building the Deep Tech future, one bold bet at a time.

Regards,

Team Java

For Chopra, solving complex business problems starts with applying first principles to each part of the whole and then adding them all to create the big picture.
