Hi Guest,

India’s innovation scene is buzzing, and we’re thrilled to share some big wins and fresh updates from the Java Capital portfolio this month!

India’s research and innovation landscape is picking up serious pace, fueled by initiatives like One Nation One Subscription and the ongoing support of organisations such as ANRF India. In a major boost, the Union Cabinet has also just approved the landmark Research Development and Innovation (RDI) Scheme, with a substantial corpus of INR 1lakh crore. This landmark scheme is set to provide long-term, affordable financing to the private sector, encouraging bold R&D, supporting high-impact technology projects, and facilitating the creation of a Deep-Tech Fund of Funds. As Prof. A. K. Sood, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, recently highlighted, these efforts are laying the groundwork for transformative outcomes that will put India at the forefront of global innovation. Watch the full message here.

This month, we’re proud to share that three of our DeepTech startups, AgniKul Cosmos, ePlane Company, and CynLr, have been recognised as part of the World Economic Forum’s 2025 Technology Pioneers Cohort. Their selection is a testament to the world-class innovation emerging from India and the impact these companies are making on a global stage.

LightFury Games’ E-Cricket was featured in Unreal Engine’s official mobile games highlight reel and made its debut at Unreal Fest Orlando 2025, putting Indian gaming talent in the international spotlight. We have also shared our investment rationale on why we invested in LightFury Games in this edition.

Taqtics, another standout from our portfolio, just marked four years of operations. In that time, they’ve expanded to 19 countries, partnered with over 60 companies, supported 100+ brands, and powered execution across more than 4,000 stores!
